Original linocut print on handmade paper. The paper for this print is made by the artist in small batches from cotton rag.
Each piece of art by Tedious Little Things is an original print from a hand carved linoleum block. Prints and paper will vary to some degree due to the hand printing and papermaking process, no two prints are identical. We consider variations amongst prints and paper to be part of the beauty of original block prints.
Block printing is a very slow art process, and blocks wear out over time. the moth will be printed until the black fails to produce crisp prints, at which point the block will be retired.
This piece is will be printed in black ink on white paper. It is signed by the artist and also has her makers mark in red ink.
It measures about 6" x 8", and is mounted onto a piece of black paper measuring 8x10.
