Wildflowers in Green
Original linocut print on handmade paper. The paper for this print is made by the artist in small batches. She uses scraps of art paper, "junk" mail, brown bags, and other upcycled materials.
Each piece of art by Tedious Little Things is an original print from a hand carved linoleum block. Prints and paper will vary to some degree due to the hand printing and papermaking process, no two prints are identical. We consider variations amongst prints and paper to be part of the beauty of original block prints.
Block printing is a very slow art process, and blocks wear out over time. "Mermaid" will be printed until the black fails to produce crisp prints, at which point the block will be retired.
This piece is will be printed in green ink on a oatmeal colored paper. The print measures about 6" tall x 8" wide, and is mounted on cream paper measuring 8' x 10'.
